The Alchemy of Forever by Avery Williams

Summary: Can we ever really escape our past? Especially when we have all the time in the world for it to catch up to us?

Seraphina was just a young girl when her life was taken from her. When a handsome young man called Cyrus offers her eternal life, she takes it. But centuries later, she's tired of living. She makes a plan to commit suicide, but when things don't go as planned, she ends up stuck in someone else's body. As she plots her second suicide attempt, she grows attached to her home's (aka the body she occupies) friends and family, and discovers that she may want to live. Still, she knows that she cannot go on living inside of someone else's body, living someone else's life, even when throwing away that someone else's life means throwing away her only chance at love. But will Cyrus ever let her go?

My Thoughts: Okay, what the hell kind of ending was that?? If you-know-who took over you-know-who's body then I'm not reading book two. This really sucks and I want to cry....See, this is what happens when you live vicariously through fictional characters: you feel there fictional pain. My night is ruined....grrr! BUT, I can't deny that, up until the last page, I enjoyed reading this. I thought the plot was pretty original and the writing wasn't horrible.

  2. I wanna read this book. I still can’t take away my thoughts from the blurb ‘til now. I’m thinking of the possibilities, and it’s crazy! If she ever did commit suicide for the second time, her home body would die as well. And would that make her a peaceful soul at all? I’m just gonna read it. Maybe the romance would’ve made the decision easier, but it can be the other way around. But seriously, thanks!
